Spoken voice

Lyrics can be spoken instead of sung.
To have lyrics spoken add a "Text" type stave to the document
Lyrics related to this stave will be read.

In the Virtual Singer palette, the singer is marked by a "SP" icon.

Lyrics can be spoken two ways:
- through the system speech synthesizer
- through Virtual Singer

If you are using the system speech synthesizer, you can't be sure to get the same result on all computers. If a voice is not present on the computer that plays the document, the closest voice (language, gender...) will be used.

It is however possible to convert this stave to a digital track afterwards or to export in MyrWeb format to ensure the same playback.

When editing the spoken voice settings ("Staves > Edit human voice" menu) you can select the speech rate in words per minute.

If the sentences to be said is too long to match the time limits fixed by the document, the speech rate will be sped up, without exceeding the maximum rate.

When writing lyrics, use the appropriate punctuation, capitals, line breaks: this will enable the lyrics to match the time position.

Special commands are ignored.
