Two issues with Myriad HQ inside PDFtoMusic Pro

I bought and installed PDFtoMusic Pro. Then I bought Myriad HQ so I can use  PDFtoMusic Pro with external VST's. I have two problems I hope you can help me with:

1. I don't know where to enter the registration of Myriad HQ inside PDFtoMusic Pro.

2. I'd like to use Myriad HQ with external VST's. The manual says that option should be there underneith "MyrSynth-Guitar instruments", but it isn't with me. This is a screen shot:

Hi!
I didn't tried PDF to Music with HQ and VST, as I export and work with Harmony Assistant.

You must know that :

  • HQ concentrate a synth guitar module, frequencies > 48kHz, more than stereo output, and VST (external modules)
  • The MyrSynth Guitar may be sometimes called "virtual instrument" whereas the VST are "externals".
  • It may be hard/impossible to finely change VST settings. If VST provide built-in preset, you may be able to select one... else use the default settings with no possibility to change them. This is due to technical limitations (no VST on linux), unclear documentations for devs for VST integration...

If you own VST instruments, I suppose you have a DAW.
You can then export PDF to MIDI file, and you will have more flexibility in your DAW.

I don't use VST with Harmony Assistant, I just installed those listed in the MyriadHQ doc, to try them.
If I need VST (this may happen soon), I export to MIDI and use a MIDI track in Reaper where I can plug VST instruments and have access to all settings.

Once all above writed, I launched PDF to Music.

  • There is no settings for external modules paths. These settings exist in Harmony Assistant
  • The Myriad HQ window/palette, without VST, confirms that VST are not supported by PDF to Music.

Export to Harmony Assistant to use VST with listed limitations,
or export to MusicXML / MIDI to use in your DAW.

By the way, I report to the dev team the lack of VST in PDF to Music, or the misunderstanding when reading HQ documentation.
