I'm about to purchase PDFtoMusic Pro (linux) but looking to see if there are any tricks for better compatibility with MuseScore4. The conversion from PDF is outstanding (much better than Audiveris) based on the screen image, but the xml output loads a little wonky into MuseScore with weird note sizes. And MuseScore complains it's not a valid MusicXML file.
MuseScore is my composition tool, that won't be changing, so hoping these can work together better. Thanks

Hmm, PDFTM and Audiveris do not work the same way at all. For bitmaps (scanned scores) Audiveris can do the trick (not always, however) but PDFTM only works with files that are issued from a music software (Finale, Sibelius, etc.) into a pdf file. As for the xml format, PDFTM/HA (Myriad software) seem to raise a few issues when exporting. The Myriad team are constantly working on that point, whenever a "faulty" exported file is sent to them for analysis. The trouble is that xml standards are evolving day in day out.
