Editing sound (effects, cuts...) is, inmho, not easy in HA, it can be done in external software and then resulting wav be imported in a digital track. For regular staves, notes are played by default by internal sound base (Gold soundbase worth the money, you can listen demo on the website). But you can output notes to MIDI soundcard or keyboard. In case of bad synchronization, there are digital output settings, but I never mixed digital and MIDI output.
