I need a little help. Since installing HA version 9.9.4d the HA reacts to the keystroke of the midi keyboard. E.g. with a start of playback with F#2. Keyboard manual and HA manual did not help. Is there a way to stop this behavier? Merci. Oh and by the way, what is the blue (drive?) symbol in the header of a track for?

A nice fix? Every time I play a passage on the keyboard at any point in the piece and it contains an F#2, the display jumps to the first measure and starts.

I've never had much success with either midi or virtual keyboard input; the timing is far too hairy to be of use, and I cannot see how to slow down the quantisation. But nothing special happened at F#2 in my set-up. André may have been referring to the blue icon: In Help > Documentation > What's New? > Improvements 19) Implementation of a system of icons in the document window title to show the score states It seems to be left to us to figure-out what they mean! A tick and a dot appear whenever the score is changed - I would have thought the opposite to be more logical, perhaps a tick after the disc symbol when saved score is up-to-date.

Since HA 9.9.4, we can assign MIDI notes to shortcuts. I never tried this. Go to configuration > Edit keyboard shortcut If you choose a command without shortcut and press a note on your keyboard, I suppose this will assign MIDI note to the command. Remove the shortcut you created for this test. Check if the "play" has no MIDI shortcut.. If you never edit keyboard shortcut since the install of the new version, this is strange. If you already edit, and your cat or your kid press a note on the keyboard at this moment, you may have mMIDI shortcuts

Thank you for the answers. It's actually because of the "edit keyboard shortcut". I had not seen this before! Thank you very much!

really, REALLY, REALLY strange that you have Midi F#2 for multiple actions ! Assigning MIDI note as shortcut is new in HA 9.9.4. If you never open this dialog since install of 9.9.4 and you don't have a cat walking on the keyboard at this moment, this is a bug. If you never customized keyboard shortcuts, you may return to factory default. If you already customized shortcuts, for next time I advise to save your settings as a predef keyboard shortcut layout. You then can go back to the save shortcuts after a mistake or a bug.

| My cat makes better music than I do! However, it cannot place the same midi shortcut-key in different locations (I have tried this). The file must have been directly corrupted, independently of Keyboard Configuration.

Hallo Sylvain, hallo Tony, sorry, but I have neither a cat nor small children and NO idea how the entries in the keyboard shortcuts got there. But I want to keep watching. I have been saving the settings for many years. Deleting the midi entries was absolutely successful. They haven't reappeared yet. Even if I'm not very active here on the board, I've been running the HA for over 20 years. And finally, my cockatiels sing better than me. Greetings. Bernhard

There are still problems. Despite the keyboard setting "Insert pause" >> [Enter key] only, no MIDI input(!) a pause is inserted into the score every time you play a C#2. It seems to be a bug ...

The provision to include MIDI codes as shortcuts has been incorporated into the keyboard shortcut files for some years now - (but only now activated). Examine your keyboard files (Hilfe > Verzeichnis »Myriad Documents« öffnen > Settings > Keyboards) Where no MIDI code has been assigned, the key description should contain MIDI -1 (older files may contain MIDI 0) DebutClavier_V_6.1 ... ToucheDebut Commande "CMD_SILENCE" Modifiers 0 Midi -1 Clavier 36 (Key #36 = Enter; Midi C#2 =37!) ToucheFin ... FinClavier Here, the note C4 is assigned the letter C and also a MIDI key... ToucheDebut Note 72 Modifiers 8704 (shift) Midi 72 (=C4) Clavier 8 ToucheFin Below, the note C#4 is assigned a MIDI key only and is thus marked CLAVIER -1 ToucheDebut Note 73 Modifiers 0 Midi 73 Clavier -1 ToucheFin

Hello Tony, that was it! A last midi entry was hidden in the .kbd file! Deleted and no more pause while playing a C # 2. Many thanks. Bernhard
