OpenMovieFile not working in HA 9.9.9

Hi every one. Over the years I have used myScript to work with audio and video files. My scripts worked well up to HA version 9.8. In newer HA versions the same scripts don´t work. The problem seems to be in the command OpenMovieFile, which I am using to open .wav files. The command returns nil instead of the movie object. Nothing was changed in the script; however, it works in version 9.8 and it doesn´t in version 9.9. Any Ideas? Thanks.

How are you creating the "moviefile"? I create those using Score.MovieExport, then I open the resulting .mp4 using "OpenFileWithDefaultApplication". I had understood that the "Movie Object Type" was an other kind of object than the result of MovieExport.

Thanks for your answer. In version 9.8 I was able to open .wav files using the command OpenMovieFile with the complete file name as parameter. When I run the same script in version 9.9 it returns nil as result, indicating that the file could not be opened.

Hi! I never scripted with movies and wav files. When you opened the wav with OpenMovieFile(...), did it open a new document with a digital track with the wav form, or did it create a Movie object with only sound tracks?

It did create a movie object with the .wav file as its sound track.

What I"ve trying to do is loading the .wav file into a digital track. There has to be another way to import a sound file into a digital track, but I haven"t found it in the myScript manual.

Hi, May I ask why you need to open a wav file this way, and what you were doing with the movie object after that?

Hi Olivier, thanks for the reply. what I want to do is to load a sound file into a digital track. The only way I found to do it looking in the manual is opening the sound file using OpenMovieFile, and then transferring the movie sound to the digital track using movie.ImportDigitalTrack.
