Hi all, I've got a partiture that has a staff that has a permanent signature on one of the lines. I want to move the notes on the line above with a mole to the line of the staff with the signature. But not the other notes. Saves a lot of moles in the partiture. Can that be done with HA? I've made an example here, to show what I'm looking for.

I'm not sure to understand exactly what you mean... I guess you are fighting with enharmonics (e.g. you have a Db which sounds the same as a C#). Actually, there are several ways of doing it : 1- Select all the notes that need changing (right click on each) then Edit>Appearance>General. In the windows, choose the "preferred accidental" (sharp) and OK. 2- Select the whole staff (left click in the left margin, just before the beginning of the line) and then Edit>Appearance>General "Target" tab. Enter the name of the note to be changed (e.g. Db) and go back to the "general" tab. Choose the preferred accidental (sharp) and OK.

Oops, you're right, I should have used 'flat' instead of 'moles'... I was thinking in Dutch when I was typing my question. I indeed want to change the D5b to C5#. But only those notes. Selecting each note, as Bubu suggested in option 1, I can do that. But that will take me a lot of time. That is why I'm looking for an automated way. I'm now looking into option number 2. Quite a dialogbox... I hope my question is clear now...

On second thoughts, I think there's a script to manage enharmonics for the whole score. Look in Scripts>Notation>Notes>Enharmonics Editor.

I've made several attempts and I think I understand the dialog now. Here is how I done it. 1: This is what I want to happen. D5b should move to C5# 2: I Used the dialog and the help instruction. Interesting way of setting up the dialog... I used 0 for pitch shift, as I want a preferred accidental of 'Sharp', as I stated in the 'General' tab. (I think the 'Pitch shift should not be in the 'Target' tab...) 3: After pressing 'OK' it doesn't show me the real results. Only when I pushed the 'Play' button, the notes actually move to the position I wanted. So it was a bit buggy, but I guess it worked. Thanks to you all! And Bubu, yes, a mole should be hidden, that is what I tried here! They are all looking at me right now ! I will look at the Enharmonics script tomorrow.

It's definitely the "Enharmonic" script you must use in that case. I use it constantly when I need to get a song from a pdf score and change its tonality to suit the needs of my vocal quartet. The transposition mechanism of HA produces often strange results, e.g. a Fb instead of an E. Same thing if you import a midi file. By the way: do you really want to use a C# alone as key signature? "Normal" key signatures are etc.

I've tried the Enharmomics script. That is a lot easier than the complex dialog I used earlier. And it does not show any bugs !! And, ehm, the C# key signature. I just used that because I was looking for a way to move only one type of notes...
